Renee Teruya began piano at the age of three and voice at seven, continuing her musical education at Kunitachi Music Middle School, High School, and College in Japan. With over 30 years of teaching experience and more than 72,000 lessons taught, she is the CEO and Artistic Director of Renee’s Music Studio. Renee has nurtured countless talented musicians, many of whom have gone on to study at prestigious music colleges and conservatories or achieve top prizes in national and international competitions, including the Golden Classical Music Awards, American Protégé Music Competition, Aloha International Piano Competition, Osaka International Music Competition, and the Universal Music Competition. In addition to her teaching and leadership, Renee has served for nearly a decade as Coordinator of the Hawaii Music Teachers Association State Competition and has been invited as a judge for the Osaka International Music Competition (Hawaii and Osaka Finals) and the Universal Music Competition.
